ABOUT THE JOB
As a Cake Decorator at Costco, you will be responsible for finishing and decorating cakes and other bakery products according to established formulas and presentation guidelines. The role involves using piping bags and decorating tools, preparing specialty items, and ensuring all products meet quality, consistency, and food safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Finish and decorate cakes using piping bags, icing, and decorating tools.
- Slice, fill, and assemble cakes by hand or using approved equipment.
- Apply fillings, frostings, and decorative finishes following Costco formulas.
- Decorate specialty cakes for holidays, events, and special orders.
- Prepare and garnish products for display and sale.
- Inspect finished items to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Operate and clean decorating and bakery equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating area.
- Follow all food safety, health, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with additional bakery duties as required.
