ABOUT THE JOB
The Heavy Equipment Operator will support mine operations by operating heavy equipment and assisting with dispatch activities related to autonomous haulage systems. The role involves working with operations teams, monitoring equipment movement, supporting production targets, and following strict safety procedures. This position is suited for experienced operators who are comfortable working in a rotational mine environment with advanced mining technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate heavy equipment safely in support of mine operations and dispatch activities.
- Support Autonomous Haulage System operations and mine production coordination.
- Monitor equipment movement, traffic flow, and operational conditions in the mine area.
- Communicate with operators, dispatch teams, supervisors, and maintenance personnel.
- Follow site safety standards, operational procedures, and mine traffic requirements.
- Assist with troubleshooting, reporting, and operational adjustments during the shift.
- Participate in shift handovers, planning meetings, and daily safety discussions.
- Help maintain safe, efficient, and reliable material movement across the mine site.
