ExxonMobil is hiring a Project Engineer in Edmonton, Alberta to support refinery projects at the Strathcona refinery. This role focuses on coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, and project execution activities while helping deliver safe, reliable, and efficient industrial projects.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Project Engineer will provide leadership and technical coordination for assigned refinery projects from concept through completion. The role includes working with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to manage project scope, cost, schedule, safety, and quality. This position is suited for an engineering professional with strong project management skills and experience in industrial or refinery environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities for refinery projects.
- Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution from early concept to closeout.
- Work with operations, maintenance, contractors, and technical teams to align project requirements.
- Monitor project scope, cost, schedule, safety, and quality performance.
- Assist with contractor coordination, construction planning, and field execution support.
- Prepare project documentation, reports, estimates, and technical recommendations.
- Identify project risks and support solutions to keep work progressing safely and efficiently.
- Ensure project activities follow applicable standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
