Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a dynamic Account Executive to lead efforts in driving AWS adoption among large enterprise customers across Central Canada. In this role, you will focus on fostering innovation and building strong partnerships with enterprise clients by leveraging AWS solutions. As the Enterprise Acquisition (Greenfield) Account Executive, you will oversee a team of Enterprise Account Executives, with the primary goal of expanding customer acquisition and AWS platform growth among some of the largest Canadian companies.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of business acumen and technical expertise, allowing them to effectively engage with CxO-level executives. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and increasing AWS platform adoption. Additionally, you will mentor and support your team while defining and executing a comprehensive regional plan aimed at consistently achieving annual revenue targets. Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth within Central Canada by leading a team of Enterprise Account Executives focused on new customer acquisition.
- Develop and execute regional plans to accelerate customer adoption and meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
- Foster strategic relationships with CxO-level executives to drive AWS adoption and long-term partnerships.
- Coach and mentor individual sales team members to develop opportunity pipelines and close deals.
- Collaborate with partners to extend AWS reach and adoption across targeted industries.
- Manage contract negotiations and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Expect moderate travel as part of the role to meet with clients and partners.
Basic Qualifications
Amazon requires the following basic qualifications for the Account Executive, Enterprise Acquisition role:
- 6+ years of full sales cycle experience in technology sales, business development, or equivalent roles.
- 5+ years of experience selling enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting, or cloud computing services.
- Proven experience in driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Amazon prefers candidates who also possess the following qualifications:
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Background in engineering, computer science, or management information systems (MIS).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of government IT, data centers, cloud services, and cloud adoption strategies.
Compensation & Benefits
Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including:
- Base salary between $114,800 and $191,800 CAD annually, depending on experience.
