Imperial is hiring a Regional Talent Recruiter for a full-time, on-site position in Edmonton, Alberta. About This Talent Acquisition Position
The Regional Talent Recruiter will act as a strategic partner to leaders responsible for hiring across Imperial. Rather than focusing only on vacancy administration, the recruiter will help define role requirements, identify appropriate talent markets and advise hiring teams throughout the selection process.
The position also contributes to Imperial’s broader recruiting strategy by sharing labour-market insights, maintaining accurate recruitment information and identifying ways to improve sourcing, selection and candidate engagement. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a changing environment where priorities may evolve quickly.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The role covers the complete recruitment lifecycle, from initial conversations with hiring managers through candidate sourcing, assessment, offer management and process reporting.
Hiring Strategy Development
Partner with hiring managers to clarify business needs, define role requirements, develop candidate profiles and agree on an effective recruitment approach.
Requisition Management
Lead intake meetings, review and validate requisitions and ensure that hiring requirements are clearly documented before recruitment activity begins.
Talent Sourcing
Develop sourcing plans and identify qualified candidates through professional networks, research, direct outreach and channels beyond standard online platforms.
Candidate Assessment
Manage job postings, screen applicants and deliver focused shortlists that reflect the technical, professional and organizational needs of each vacancy.
Offer and Candidate Management
Maintain clear candidate communication throughout the process and support offer development, negotiation and final-stage relationship management.
Recruitment Performance
Track recruiting metrics, maintain accurate applicant tracking system records and support continuous improvements to hiring processes and results.
Business Partnership and Market Intelligence
The Regional Talent Recruiter will be expected to understand the business context behind each hiring request. This includes learning how different roles contribute to Imperial’s operations and using that knowledge to advise hiring managers on candidate availability, sourcing strategy and realistic recruitment timelines.
The recruiter will also provide insights into labour-market conditions, compensation expectations and emerging talent trends. These observations can help managers adjust candidate profiles, improve role positioning and make better-informed decisions in competitive hiring markets.

Imperial requires a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field. Candidates should also have more than ten years of progressive recruiting experience gained across different industries, business functions or types of professional positions.
