Microsoft is hiring a full-time Logistics Technician in Quebec City, Quebec, to support Data Center Inventory and Asset Management operations. This fully on-site position focuses on inventory accuracy, inbound and outbound logistics, asset handling, procurement support and coordination of ticketed work across the data centre environment.
The role combines warehouse and logistics responsibilities with technical coordination and peer guidance. Employees may work 12-hour shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends or holidays, and may travel periodically to support other metropolitan areas for up to 25% of their time.
What This Logistics Technician Role Involves
The Logistics Technician supports Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation organization by helping manage the inventory, hardware and logistics processes that support data centre infrastructure. The position includes prioritizing and assigning ticketed work, guiding technicians on inbound and outbound logistics tasks and helping maintain accurate inventory balances.
The role also involves handling escalations, supporting procurement and warranty processes, coordinating hardware movement and maintaining compliance with safety and security procedures. Schedule, Physical Requirements and Compensation
This is a full-time, fully on-site position in Quebec City with less than 25% travel. The role may require 12-hour shifts during non-standard hours, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Physical requirements include occasional ladder climbing, frequent stair or ramp use, prolonged standing, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing or pulling loads of approximately 50 to 75 lbs with or without an assistive device, and frequent fine hand manipulation.
The published Canadian base salary range for this Logistics Technician ATR-B position is CAD $49,100 to $70,300 per year. Candidates must also be able to complete Microsoft’s Cloud Background Check and obtain and maintain Reliability Status security screening with the Government of Canada.
