About the Investment Banking Vice President Role
As a Vice President within the Diversified Industries team, you will play a leadership role in originating, managing and executing investment banking transactions across mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, debt capital markets and corporate finance advisory. You will work closely with senior clients while coordinating with product specialists across JPMorganChase’s global investment banking platform.
The position combines financial analysis, client relationship management, transaction leadership and mentoring responsibilities. Successful candidates will contribute to business development, transaction execution and the continued expansion of client relationships across diversified industries.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The Vice President will lead transaction execution while supporting strategic client advisory and business development initiatives.
Transaction Leadership
Lead mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings, debt issuances and other strategic financing transactions from execution through completion.
Financial Analysis
Perform company valuations, financial modelling, due diligence and detailed analysis to support complex investment banking engagements.
Client Advisory
Develop strategic recommendations for acquisitions, divestitures, financing alternatives and capital structure decisions.
Business Development
Build relationships with senior corporate decision-makers while identifying new client opportunities to expand business coverage.
Team Leadership
Train, mentor and support analysts and associates while providing guidance throughout transaction execution.
Cross-Border Collaboration
Coordinate with internal product teams and participate in domestic and international client engagements and business travel when required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have at least three years of investment banking industry experience following completion of an MBA or a minimum of five years of investment banking experience after completing an undergraduate degree. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline is required.
Candidates should demonstrate expertise in mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets, financial modelling, company valuation and transaction execution. Strong communication skills, analytical ability, project management experience and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential for success in this position.
