Express Scripts Canada is hiring a full-time Quality Assurance & Testing Advisor in Mississauga, Ontario. This hybrid technology role focuses on quality assurance, business testing, test automation and validation across data analytics solutions and the company’s claims adjudication platform.
The successful candidate will work with development, business, product, process and infrastructure teams to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies, validate end-to-end business processes and identify automation opportunities that improve testing efficiency and maintainability.
About This Quality Assurance & Testing Role
The Quality Assurance & Testing Advisor supports application delivery by ensuring that business scenarios, data requirements and system integrations are thoroughly tested before release. The position includes Acceptance Testing, User Acceptance Testing, regression testing, compliance testing and configuration validation.
The role also requires strong technical knowledge of reporting applications, relational databases and claims adjudication environments. The advisor will work across multiple application environments and contribute recommendations that support informed Go/No-Go release decisions.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The position combines test planning, automation, data validation, defect management and cross-functional collaboration to support reliable and compliant application releases.
Test Development
Develop test scripts, test conditions, test data and expected results for Acceptance Testing and User Acceptance Testing activities.
Business Process Validation
Validate end-to-end business scenarios to help ensure applications meet quality, functional and compliance requirements.
Test Automation
Identify automation opportunities, evaluate test automation frameworks and develop reusable capabilities for regression and business process testing.
Defect Management
Track defects, support troubleshooting and work with development and business teams to drive issues through resolution.
Release Assessment
Analyze and communicate testing results and provide recommendations that support Go/No-Go release decisions.
Compliance Testing
Assist with test cases covering privacy, data governance, regulatory requirements and other compliance-related scenarios.
Testing, Data and Application Delivery
The advisor will support application testing across development, certification and testing, production and penetration testing environments. Coordination with infrastructure and testing partners is required to ensure appropriate data, environments and integrations are available for complete end-to-end validation.
Strong SQL and relational database skills are important because the role includes working with large volumes of data, validating results and investigating data-related issues. Experience with reporting applications such as OAS, OBIEE or web-based reporting platforms is also relevant to the position.

Strong experience developing and executing structured testing strategies across business applications and technology environments.

Strong knowledge of relational databases and the ability to write and validate SQL queries for data testing and analysis.
Experience working with large datasets and verifying data accuracy across reporting, analytics and adjudication systems.
Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and Product Development Lifecycle processes and how testing fits within each stage.
Qualifications, Compensation and Work Requirements
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering, together with at least five years of quality assurance, business testing and test automation experience. Knowledge of pharmacy, group health insurance or claims adjudication systems is considered a strong asset.
Express Scripts Canada lists a salary range of $95,000 to $115,000 CAD per year. The position is full time and follows a hybrid work arrangement in Mississauga. Employment is conditional on successful reference checks, background verification and obtaining an Enhanced Reliability Clearance from the Federal Government.
