About This Wholesale Credit Risk Position

RBC’s Group Risk Management – Wholesale Credit Risk function evaluates the credit risks created by complex trading and lending activities. The Funds team is specifically responsible for managing exposure to North American investment managers and fund counterparties operating across different investment strategies.

As a second-line risk professional, the Associate will work independently from the business teams proposing transactions while maintaining close working relationships with them. The objective is to provide balanced credit analysis, identify material risks and confirm that proposed deal structures include suitable protections before approval.

Counterparty Credit Analysis

Evaluate individual investment managers and fund counterparties by reviewing their business models, financial position, investment strategies and relevant industry risks.

Borrower Risk Ratings

Establish or adjudicate borrower risk ratings and prepare risk assessments that consider business, financial, industry and transaction-specific factors.
