Global Business Development Leader, Research – Amazon AWS – Montreal, QC

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly skilled Global Business Development Leader to drive AWS’s growth in the research sector. This role involves collaborating with a global team to create and implement digital solutions tailored to research institutions.

You will be instrumental in developing new ideas, managing cross-functional teams, and influencing sector leaders to accelerate the adoption of AWS services across over 40 countries.

Your role will include leading the development and communication of AWS’s research strategy, building business cases for globally applicable solutions, and sharing your knowledge across the international education team. You’ll work closely with customers, field staff, and senior leaders, ensuring AWS remains at the forefront of innovation in the research segment.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in developing, negotiating, and implementing business agreements.
• 7+ years of professional or military experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a founder or executive in related segments.
• Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations.
