Costco Wholesale is hiring a Baker to join our team at the Edmonton warehouse, 12450 149th Street. This full-time role involves high-volume bakery production, requiring experience with industrial baking equipment and strict quality standards.

You’ll be responsible for preparing, mixing, and baking a wide range of bakery products, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

About the Job

As a Baker, you’ll operate large-scale power mixers, dough rollers, and ovens, producing bakery products that meet Costco’s consistency and quality requirements.

Your work will directly impact the freshness and satisfaction of Costco members.

Key Responsibilities for the Baker

• Assembles and measures ingredients based on Costco formulas.
• Operates industrial baking equipment including dough rollers, depositors, and ovens.
• Prepares batters, frostings, and fillings for baked goods.
• Monitors ovens and proofing rooms, ensuring proper baking times and temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation standards, monitors pull dates, and adheres to health codes.
• Provides excellent member service and supports bakery operations as needed.

Minimum Qualifications for the Baker

Candidates must meet the following:

• Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required on the first day.
• Experience: Previous bakery experience required.
• Skills: Must handle large ingredient volumes and power equipment.
