RBC is hiring a Senior Treasury Analyst for a full-time position in Bedford, Nova Scotia. This Capital Markets operations role supports Futures Commission Merchant activities across global markets and focuses on collateral movement, treasury controls, reconciliations and compliance with U.S. derivatives regulations.
The successful candidate will work with cash and non-cash collateral across multiple currencies and jurisdictions while supporting futures, cleared swaps and secured lending activity. About This Treasury Operations Position
The Senior Treasury Analyst will support RBC Capital Markets’ Futures and Cleared Derivatives team. The role involves coordinating collateral between RBC, central counterparties, clients and third-party custodian banks to ensure that margin and regulatory requirements are met accurately and on time.
The position also provides exposure to international market infrastructure and the controls used to protect customer funds. The analyst will help maintain reliable treasury records, investigate discrepancies and support audit or regulatory requests connected to the FCM business.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The role combines collateral management, reconciliation, regulatory compliance and operational support. The successful candidate must be able to manage time-sensitive activity while maintaining accurate records across several systems and market relationships.
Collateral Movements
Instruct transfers of cash and non-cash collateral between RBC, clients and central counterparties across different currencies and jurisdictions.
Custodian Bank Processing
Process customer money and collateral requests through third-party custodians and record completed transactions in RBC’s back-office systems.
Margin Support
Coordinate securities and other eligible collateral movements so that client and house accounts can meet applicable margin requirements.
Reconciliations
Reconcile trades, positions, cash balances, margin calls and collateral records and investigate differences that may require correction or escalation.
Regulatory Compliance
Support compliance with CFTC customer fund segregation and cleared derivatives requirements across relevant account classifications.
Audit and Project Support
Assist with internal audit requests, control evaluations, data analysis, reporting and business initiatives affecting treasury or clearing operations.
FCM and Derivatives Operations
The Senior Treasury Analyst will support Futures Commission Merchant operations involving products such as futures, cleared swaps, credit default swaps and options. Candidates should understand how these products create collateral and margin obligations and how treasury teams help ensure that those obligations are satisfied.
The role also requires awareness of U.S. regulatory standards, including CFTC Regulation 1.20, Part 22, Part 2 and Part 30.7. Familiarity with audit documentation and regulatory control evidence will be valuable when responding to internal reviews or supporting ongoing compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Workplace Details
RBC requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or an equivalent discipline and approximately two to three years of experience in finance, accounting or operations, including exposure to treasury functions.
Candidates should be familiar with accounting software, treasury management systems and financial statement analysis. The position is based at 90 Western Parkway in Bedford and follows a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
