About This Financial Advisor Position
The Financial Advisor will manage and grow a portfolio of client relationships within the North Battleford community. Rather than focusing only on individual transactions, the advisor will take a broader view of each client’s financial situation and identify opportunities to provide useful advice at important personal or business milestones.
The role combines relationship management, financial education and responsible business development. Advisors are expected to recommend solutions that are appropriate for each client’s needs and financial circumstances while following RBC’s established policies, licensing requirements and risk controls.

Personal and Small Business Advice
The Financial Advisor will support clients with both personal and business financial needs. This may include discussing borrowing, investments, cash-flow priorities and other banking requirements while recognizing when a more specialized RBC partner should become involved.
The position requires the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and to address more complex credit and investment questions. Licensing, Experience and Workplace Details
RBC requires valid mutual funds accreditation through the Investment Funds in Canada course or the Canadian Securities Course. Applicants outside Quebec must also have completed the Designated Financial Services Advisor designation offered through the Canadian Securities Institute.
Candidates should have two to three years of proven financial services sales experience involving credit and investments and a demonstrated ability to build lasting client relationships. A second language and an established local professional network are considered assets. The position is based at 1101 101 Street in North Battleford and follows a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
