Leading Technology Operations for Trading Systems

The Director will provide operational leadership across trading technology environments where service reliability, speed and control are essential. Key Areas of Responsibility

Experience and Technical Background

Candidates must have at least eight years of experience in production operations across multiple technologies and platforms. RBC also requires five or more years of related experience in software engineering disciplines such as site reliability engineering, DevOps or cloud, together with at least five years of people management experience.

The role requires strong knowledge of engineering and SRE practices, supported by a technical degree or equivalent experience. Experience supporting trading systems, financial market infrastructure or other high-availability applications is preferred because the operating environment demands strong judgement under pressure and a clear understanding of reliability risk.
