Costco Wholesale is hiring a Bakery Wrapper in Gatineau, QC. In this role, you’ll help prepare bakery items for sale by wrapping, labeling, and stocking products while keeping the work area organized and following food safety standards.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Bakery Wrapper position focuses on finishing and packaging bakery products for the sales floor. You will wrap and label items, assemble packaging, rotate stock, and ensure products meet quality and freshness standards. This role also requires maintaining a clean work area and providing helpful service to members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Garnish, wrap, label, and stock bakery products for sale.
- Finish baked goods by adding garnishes, drizzles, icing, or glaze according to established formulas.
- Wrap and package products by hand or using wrapping equipment as needed.
- Assemble and prepare packaging materials such as pre-cut boxes.
- Weigh, label, and prepare products for the sales floor.
- Remove damaged, underweight, or defective items to maintain quality and consistency.
- Move and stock product using carts/racks, ensuring proper rotation and freshness.
- Monitor dates and follow food safety guidelines and health code requirements.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service and assist with product questions.
- Keep the wrapping area, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Follow all safety and security procedures and assist with other bakery tasks as needed.
