Baker – Costco Wholesale, Montréal, QC

Costco Wholesale is hiring a skilled and experienced Baker for our Montréal warehouse located at 300 Rue Bridge. This is a great opportunity to join a team that values quality, consistency, and exceptional member service.

As a full-time Baker, you will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and baking large volumes of bakery products, operating industrial equipment, and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

About the Job

As a Baker, you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality bakery goods by following Costco’s specific formulas and procedures. You’ll operate a variety of power equipment, handle large quantities of ingredients, and ensure every product meets Costco’s standards.

You will thrive in a fast-paced production environment where teamwork and precision are essential to maintaining product consistency and member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities for the Baker

Your duties will include ingredient preparation, baking, equipment operation, and member service.

• Assembles, measures, and mixes large quantities of ingredients following Costco formulas.
• Operates dough rollers, muffin depositors, crust machines, and other bakery equipment.
• Prepares batter, frosting, and fillings using power mixers.
• Rolls, cuts, and shapes dough, transferring products to proofing rooms or ovens.
• Monitors baking temperatures and oven times; transfers baked goods to cooling racks.
• Maintains sanitation, monitors pull dates, and adheres to health code standards.
• Provides prompt and courteous member service and assists in other bakery duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications for the Baker

To be successful, you must meet the following:

• Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required on the first day.
• Experience: Baker experience required.

Note: In Quebec, candidates must be able to communicate in French (oral and written).
