About the Over-the-Counter Associate Position
As an Over-the-Counter Associate at Walmart Canada, you will assist customers, maintain your assigned area, and complete tasks delegated by the OTC Department Manager or Pharmacy Manager.
You will also support department sales, maintain modular and feature presentations, rotate stock, check expiration dates, and follow established procedures for ordering, pricing, markdowns, labels, and signage.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The Over-the-Counter Associate supports customer service, patient privacy, merchandising, inventory control, pricing accuracy, and department cleanliness.
Customer Assistance
Provide courteous and helpful service while assisting customers with locating over-the-counter merchandise.
Patient Confidentiality
Protect patient information and follow all practices required under applicable privacy legislation and company procedures.
Stock Rotation
Rotate merchandise regularly, check expiration dates, and remove products that no longer meet department standards.
Pricing and Signage
Follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, labels, flags, signs, and pricing updates.
Department Zoning
Keep shelves, displays, modulars, and promotional features organized, stocked, and ready for customers.
Equipment Calibration
Support the calibration of equipment used during the prescription-filling process according to established requirements.
Schedule and Work Environment
Candidates should be available to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays according to store and pharmacy needs.
