Leading Operational Training in Dorval
The Operations Training Supervisor manages learning and development services coordinated through FedEx University and aligned with the company’s broader training strategy. The position serves as the main contact for facility-based training and helps ensure that employees receive clear, timely and consistent instruction.
This role works closely with senior hub management, operations managers, package handlers, trainers and regional learning specialists. By identifying knowledge gaps and coordinating development plans, the supervisor helps employees understand operational processes, workplace expectations and safe working practices.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Daily responsibilities combine employee supervision, curriculum management, coaching and the evaluation of training programs across the facility.
Training Program Management
Manage the facility’s curriculum, continuous learning activities and dock training experience for operational employees.
Employee Coaching
Provide training and follow-up coaching to operations managers, package handlers, trainers and direct reports.
Learning Gap Analysis
Consult with senior hub leaders to identify individual training needs and develop appropriate learning opportunities.
Program Delivery
Help ensure that new and existing training programs are delivered accurately and within required operational timelines.
Training Evaluation
Conduct facility observations, assess program quality and provide constructive feedback to trainers and managers.
Team Leadership
Support hiring, coaching, performance management, employee concerns, recognition and staff productivity responsibilities.
Education and Experience Requirements
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. A bachelor’s degree in education, communications, business management or a related field is preferred. The position also requires at least two years of experience in instructor-led training, field operations or a closely related area.
Related training certifications are considered an asset. Because the position is based in Quebec and involves communication with different employee groups, applicants must be able to communicate effectively with varied audiences and provide clear instruction on operational processes and workplace practices.

The facility environment may include hot or cold temperatures, loud noise and fumes. Minimal travel may be required. The selected candidate must also complete mandatory training, maintain applicable accreditations and respond to changing operational needs when required.
