Baker – Costco Wholesale, Mississauga, ON

Costco Wholesale is seeking an experienced Baker to join our Mississauga warehouse, located at 3180 Laird Road. This full-time position is ideal for professionals with a passion for high-volume baking and delivering exceptional member service.

In this role, you will handle large-scale bakery production, operate industrial baking equipment, and ensure product quality and food safety standards are consistently met.

About the Job

As a Baker, you’ll prepare a wide range of bakery products following Costco’s tested formulas. Your tasks include mixing, baking, monitoring ovens, and maintaining production efficiency while adhering to sanitation and safety regulations.

Your expertise will contribute to the bakery’s exceptional quality and consistency, ensuring members enjoy fresh and delicious baked goods daily.

Key Responsibilities for the Baker

Your daily tasks will focus on large-scale production, equipment operation, and customer service:

• Measures, mixes, and prepares large quantities of ingredients according to Costco recipes.
• Operates power mixers, dough rollers, muffin depositors, and other baking equipment.
• Rolls, cuts, and shapes dough for breads and pastries, transferring raw products to proofing rooms.
• Monitors baking ovens and removes finished products to cooling racks at the right time.
• Ensures sanitation and temperature controls are maintained and follows health and safety codes.
• Provides prompt, courteous member service and supports other bakery functions as needed.

Minimum Qualifications for the Baker

Candidates must meet the following:

• Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required on the first day.
• Experience: Previous baker experience required.
• Other: Must be able to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment.
