About This National Account Support Role

The National Account Support team assists Royal Trust Relationship Managers by reviewing and validating estate and power of attorney asset summaries and the supporting documentation used to administer client accounts. Accuracy is essential because these records help guide estate settlement, trust administration and protection mandate activities.

As an officer and team manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for employee experience, coaching and administrative quality. The Manager will also act as the primary escalation point when regional administrators encounter complex issues involving asset summary preparation, documentation or account administration.

Key Areas of Responsibility

The position combines technical estate administration, team development and national process oversight. The Manager will help ensure that work completed by regional teams is accurate, consistent and aligned with RBC Royal Trust policies and procedures.

Estate Summary Review

Oversee and review summaries of estate assets and liabilities to confirm that information is complete, properly supported and prepared according to established standards.

Act as a subject matter expert on practical issues involving estate, trust, agency and protection mandate account administration.

Estate, Trust and Protection Mandate Administration

The Manager will support accounts involving estates, trusts, powers of attorney and other protection mandates. These files may include financial assets, liabilities, securities transactions and legal documentation that must be reviewed carefully before account administration can move forward.

Candidates should understand the Common Law and Civil Code principles that affect estate, trust and agency business in Canada. Qualifications, Compensation and Workplace Details

RBC requires a university degree or an equivalent educational background and approximately five to seven years of professional estate administration experience. Candidates should understand estate and trust law under both Common Law and Civil Code frameworks and have knowledge of financial services and securities operations.

STEP certifications, including the Certificate in Estate and Trust Administration or the Trust and Estate Practitioner designation, are considered assets. Bilingual English and French proficiency and previous team-coaching experience may also strengthen an application. The expected salary range for the primary Toronto location is $67,000 to $110,000 CAD, with potential eligibility for discretionary variable compensation. The role follows a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
