RBC is hiring an Analyst, FX Product in Toronto, Ontario. This full-time position supports the development and management of foreign exchange products within RBC Investor Services, with a primary focus on Currency Overlay Services and FX Standing Instructions.
The role is designed for a recent university graduate or early-career professional interested in financial markets, product development and data-driven decision-making. The position is based at Royal Bank Plaza, is scheduled for 37.5 hours per week and offers a published salary range of $55,000 to $90,000 CAD.
Developing Foreign Exchange Products for Institutional Clients
The Analyst will help define, maintain and improve RBC Investor Services’ foreign exchange product suite. The work includes supporting product standards, operating models, technical architecture and strategic initiatives intended to provide transparent execution, operational efficiency and strong digital experiences for institutional clients.
This position provides exposure to both product strategy and day-to-day client needs. The successful candidate will learn how currency overlay and FX standing instruction services are designed, governed and delivered while working with teams across trading, technology, operations, risk, compliance, finance and client service.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The role combines product ownership, financial analysis, client onboarding, stakeholder coordination and continuous improvement across RBC’s FX offering.
Product Development
Support the definition, implementation and governance of FX products, with particular attention to Currency Overlay Services.
Product Roadmap
Help maintain operating models, product standards and strategic plans covering RBC Investor Services’ broader foreign exchange product suite.
Revenue and Cost Analysis
Build an understanding of the factors influencing FX product revenue, operating costs and profitability, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Client Onboarding
Support the onboarding of new clients and assist with the design of FX solutions tailored to specific operational or investment requirements.
Data and Reporting
Use scripting and visualization tools to analyse product information, explain trends and support evidence-based business decisions.
Stakeholder Coordination
Work with market execution, business development, client success, technology, operations, marketing, risk, compliance and finance teams.
Education and Candidate Requirements
Applicants must have a university degree and should be recent graduates or professionals at an early stage of their careers. The position requires curiosity about financial markets and a clear commitment to developing deeper knowledge of foreign exchange products and institutional financial services.
Candidates must also be proficient in Python or another scripting language and have experience using a data visualization platform such as Power BI. These technical skills will support product analysis, performance measurement and the communication of findings to business stakeholders.

Career Exposure, Compensation and Development
The expected annual salary range for this position is $55,000 to $90,000 CAD. Final compensation may depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status, performance expectations, market conditions and RBC’s business needs. The position may also be eligible for discretionary variable compensation when business and individual performance targets are achieved.
