RBC is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst in Toronto, Ontario, for an 18-month fixed-term contract supporting finance activities within RBC Global Asset Management.
This full-time salaried position supports financial reporting, forecasting, planning, accounting operations, and performance analysis across several RBC GAM business areas. About the Senior Financial Analyst Role
The Senior Financial Analyst will support RBC Global Asset Management in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for senior management. The position involves reviewing major trends and business drivers affecting revenue, expenses, staffing levels, assets under management, and overall financial performance.
The successful candidate will also contribute to annual planning, forecasting, and five-year outlook activities. In addition, the role provides financial guidance to the RBC GAM United States business on day-to-day operational processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and financial controls.

Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results packages and ensure business performance is accurately reflected in RBC financial systems.
Performance Analysis
Provide fact-based commentary on revenue, expenses, staffing, assets under management, and performance against plans and forecasts.
Accounting Support
Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, reconciliations, and working files across legal-entity and management reporting views.
Planning and Forecasting
Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial outlooks while improving transparency for business leaders.
Financial Controls
Work with control teams to strengthen governance, month-end oversight, issue resolution, and consistency across reporting processes.
Process Automation
Participate in automation and efficiency projects that simplify reporting, reduce manual work, and improve the reliability of financial processes.
Professional Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must hold a CPA designation and have at least three years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance role within a large organization. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is also required.

Experience in asset management, wealth management, or the broader financial services industry may be beneficial. Familiarity with US GAAP, regulatory reporting, and RBC systems such as EPM, Cognos TM1, PeopleSoft, and SAP may also strengthen a candidate’s application.
