About the Senior Risk Advisory Analyst Role

As a Senior Analyst within Risk Advisory, you will help lead and execute a portfolio of assurance and advisory engagements across multiple Loblaw businesses. Assignments may include process optimization, data analysis, risk assessments, high-risk program reviews and special consulting projects requested by senior management or the Board.

The role requires a business-oriented and analytical mindset, together with the ability to connect strategic priorities, operational issues, risks and controls. You will also research emerging risk areas and translate findings into clear recommendations that support better business decisions.

Key Areas of Responsibility

The Senior Analyst will support the planning, execution and reporting of risk advisory projects while developing strong relationships across the organization.

Advisory Project Execution

Help plan and deliver assurance and advisory projects across their full lifecycle, including preparation, fieldwork, analysis and final reporting.

Business Risk Analysis

Analyze project results to identify significant business issues, root causes, emerging risks and potential opportunities for improvement.

Executive Presentations

Create clear and highly visual presentations that explain risks, business conditions, recommendations and proposed solutions to senior stakeholders.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work directly with internal and external partners to understand current challenges and build strong professional relationships.

Emerging Risk Research

Research new issues affecting Loblaw businesses and identify practical ways to use those insights to reduce risk or create competitive advantage.

Service Improvement

Propose and lead initiatives involving benchmarking, thought leadership, training, relationship development and improvements to Risk Advisory service delivery.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field and have at least two years of experience in management consulting, project management, operations, operational internal audit or external audit and advisory. Experience with a Big Four firm may be considered an asset.

Candidates should be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint. An MBA, CPA, PMP or similar professional designation is also considered a strong asset for this role.

Salary, Location and Employment Conditions

This is a full-time position located at 1 President’s Choice Circle in Brampton, Ontario. Loblaw has published an annual hiring range of CA$80,000 to CA$110,000. Final compensation may depend on the candidate’s experience, knowledge and geographic region.
