About This Solutions Design Engineer Position
Solutions Design Engineers play an important role in developing logistics strategies for new and existing customers. The position combines engineering analysis, warehouse planning, financial evaluation and operational improvement to create cost-effective supply chain solutions.
Based at the UPS facility in Burlington, this full-time role follows a Monday-to-Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Employees collaborate with Business Development, Operations, Finance and IT teams while leading solution design projects from initial analysis through implementation.

Supply Chain Analysis
Evaluate customer operational data and logistics requirements to develop tailored supply chain solutions.
Warehouse Design

Business Case Development
Prepare pricing models, cost analyses and financial evaluations to support new business opportunities.
Proposal Preparation
Develop RFP and RFI responses, technical documentation, presentations and customer proposals.
Project Leadership
Coordinate solution design projects while working with multiple departments throughout implementation.
Stakeholder Communication
Present recommendations and logistics strategies to internal teams and external customers.
Qualifications and Technical Requirements
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business or a related discipline, along with at least three years of experience in logistics engineering, solution design or another analytical supply chain role.
UPS also requires advanced Excel skills and knowledge of warehousing, transportation and inventory management. Experience using AutoCAD, SQL, Power BI, AnyLogic or other supply chain modelling software is considered an asset for this position.
