Costco is hiring a Pharmacy Student for its warehouse location in Kitchener, Ontario. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, this role supports daily pharmacy operations, assists with prescription processing, and helps provide excellent service to members.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Pharmacy Student assists the pharmacy team with prescription entry, packaging, and workflow support while learning within a regulated retail pharmacy environment. This position may also support expanded scope initiatives such as health promotion activities and medication review services, always under pharmacist supervision and in compliance with provincial requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer incoming calls and assist members by directing questions appropriately.
- Collect and process prescriptions into the pharmacy system accurately under supervision.
- Fill, package, and prepare prescription items following procedures and safety standards.
- Support pharmacists with workflow tasks and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Assist at the counter, process register transactions, and provide courteous service.
- Help identify eligible patients for medication review services and support documentation.
- Stock and organize pharmacy inventory, supplies, and OTC merchandise as needed.
