Costco Wholesale is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter for our Edmonton warehouse, located at 13650 50th Street. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a high-volume environment, ensuring product quality, consistency, and member satisfaction.
You will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meats, operating specialized equipment, and maintaining strict sanitation and safety standards.
About the Job
As a Meat Cutter, you’ll handle large quantities of meat using professional tools and machinery like saws, slicers, grinders, and tenderizers.
Your work ensures Costco’s high-quality standards are maintained while delivering exceptional service to members.
Key Responsibilities for the Meat Cutter
- Cuts and trims raw meat to Costco specifications using saws, knives, grinders, and slicers.
- Inspects and maintains meat-cutting equipment, ensuring it is sanitized and functional.
- Processes and grinds meat, verifying fat content and product consistency.
- Stocks and rotates meat displays, maintaining presentation and freshness.
- Maintains sanitation standards and complies with all health codes and SSOPs.
- Provides excellent member service and supports wrapping and merchandising.
Minimum Qualifications for the Meat Cutter
Candidates must meet the following:
- Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required on the first day.
- Experience: Meat cutting experience required.
- Skills: Must pass Costco’s meat cutting test.
