About the Job

As a Bakery Wrapper, you will contribute to the daily operations of the bakery department, ensuring all bakery items are properly prepared, wrapped, and displayed for members. You will handle various bakery tasks and ensure work area cleanliness and product rotation.

Key Responsibilities for the Baker Wrapper

Your primary focus will be maintaining bakery product standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Garnishes and decorates baked goods according to Costco formulas and procedures.
• Wraps, packages, and labels bakery products by hand or using wrapping machines.
• Weighs and inspects bakery items, ensuring quality, consistency, and proper presentation.
• Stocks and rotates bakery products while monitoring pull dates and health code compliance.
• Provides prompt and courteous service to members and answers product questions.
• Maintains cleanliness of wrapping and sales areas, adhering to safety and security protocols.
• Assists with other bakery duties and supports the team as required.

Minimum Qualifications for the Baker Wrapper

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following basic requirements:

• Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required on the first day in the position.
• Experience: No previous experience required.

Preferred Qualifications for the Baker Wrapper

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Knowledge/Skills: Familiarity with bakery products, wrapping machines, and inventory rotation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong attention to detail.
