About the Asset Protection Associate Position
As an Asset Protection Associate at Walmart Canada, you will help reduce financial and physical loss by following established security procedures, monitoring store conditions, and supporting investigations involving theft, shrink, and other incidents.
You will work closely with store leadership and Asset Protection partners while maintaining professional conduct and helping provide a safe shopping and working environment for customers, associates, visitors, and vendors.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The Asset Protection Associate supports store safety, loss prevention, investigations, emergency procedures, and communication with leadership and other relevant stakeholders.
Store Patrols
Conduct daily patrols throughout the store to identify potential security concerns and help maintain a safe and professional environment.
Security Checks
Verify that doors, showcases, alarms, and other security features are operating correctly and take appropriate action when issues are identified.
Incident Investigations
Investigate incidents involving financial or physical shrink and communicate relevant findings to store leadership according to company procedures.
Theft Prevention
Support investigations involving internal theft, external theft, organized retail crime, and cases assigned through Walmart Canada Global Ethics.
Emergency Response
Assist with store evacuations and emergency procedures during fires, security incidents, and other situations requiring an organized response.
Reporting and Communication
Gather information from multiple sources and clearly explain incidents, findings, risks, and relevant perspectives to leadership and stakeholders.
Schedule and Physical Requirements
Candidates should be available to work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on store needs.
The role may require standing for extended periods, bending, performing repetitive tasks, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Pay, Licence, and Employment Details
The minimum hourly rate for this Asset Protection Associate position starts at $19.35 CAD. A valid Security Guard Licence is required for this role.
