About This UPS Preloader Position
Preload operations are one of the most important stages of the package delivery process. Employees sort, stock, load and unload packages while preparing trailers and delivery vehicles for efficient transportation throughout the Burlington service area.
This permanent part-time position is based at 1101 Blair Road in Burlington and follows a Tuesday-to-Saturday schedule. Shifts generally begin between 5:00 a.m. and 6:15 a.m. and last approximately three to five hours, with flexibility required for changing operational needs.

Requirements and Work Environment
Candidates must be able to lift packages weighing up to 70 pounds (35 kilograms), read and memorize postal codes and comfortably perform physical work inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles. Full availability from Tuesday through Saturday is required, with a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week.
Previous warehouse experience is considered an asset but is not mandatory. Employees work in changing warehouse temperatures and should be comfortable performing repetitive lifting, loading and sorting duties throughout each shift.

UPS offers a starting wage of CAD $18.50 per hour, with guaranteed wage progression through the union collective agreement to CAD $36.53 per hour after achieving seniority and completing 48 months of service. Employees also receive paid training and immediate access to UPS employee discounts.
