Tesla is hiring a full-time Manufacturing Recruiter in Markham, Ontario. This on-site position supports the Talent Acquisition team by sourcing, assessing, and hiring candidates for skilled trades, technical, leadership, and high-volume manufacturing roles.
The role may suit an experienced recruiter with a background in skilled trades and production hiring who can move quickly without reducing candidate quality. The Recruiter will work directly with manufacturing leaders and hiring managers to develop hiring strategies for positions such as Electricians, Maintenance Technicians, Controls Technicians, Machinists, Tool and Die Specialists, and Facilities employees.
About the Manufacturing Recruiter Role
The Recruiter will help Tesla build the technical and skilled workforce required to support its manufacturing operations. This includes understanding business requirements, developing targeted sourcing plans, engaging passive candidates, conducting structured interviews, and advising hiring teams throughout the selection process.
The position is fast paced and highly visible because recruiting results directly affect manufacturing capacity and operational performance. Provide hiring managers and business partners with regular, data-informed updates regarding candidate pipelines, priorities, and recruiting progress.
Candidate Experience
Maintain clear, respectful, and timely communication with candidates throughout sourcing, interviewing, negotiation, and hiring stages.
Offer and Project Management
Support offer negotiations and lead recruiting initiatives while balancing speed, candidate quality, stakeholder needs, and project deadlines.
Recruiting Experience and Requirements
Tesla requires at least two years of recruiting experience and a demonstrated record of sourcing and assessing skilled trades or leadership talent. Candidates should understand the challenges involved in high-volume technical recruitment and be able to identify applicants with the experience needed for manufacturing operations.
The employer also expects proven relationship management experience with hiring teams and business partners. A combination of internal corporate recruiting and agency or executive search experience is preferred. Candidates should understand offer negotiation, relevant employment legislation, and current employment-market conditions.

Work Environment, Compensation and Benefits

Tesla lists an expected annual salary from $43,680 to $88,200 CAD, together with potential cash and stock awards.
