Microsoft is hiring a Cloud & AI Sales Specialist in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, for a full-time hybrid position focused on accelerating Azure adoption and supporting cloud and AI transformation across telecommunications customers in Central Canada.
This role combines enterprise sales, technical knowledge, strategic account development, and executive engagement. The successful candidate will work with Microsoft sales teams, solution engineers, partners, and customer leaders to identify cloud opportunities, build business cases, remove deployment barriers, and guide Azure projects from early planning through production.
About the Cloud and AI Sales Role
The Cloud & AI Sales Specialist works with major enterprise customers to help them evaluate infrastructure, data, application modernization, and artificial intelligence priorities. The position is centred on understanding customer needs, matching those requirements with Microsoft Azure services, and developing practical plans that support measurable business outcomes.
The role also carries responsibility for achieving Azure consumption targets across infrastructure, data, and AI platforms. This requires a combination of consultative selling, technical understanding, account planning, stakeholder influence, and the ability to coordinate complex opportunities involving multiple internal teams and external partners.

Develop and advance Azure opportunities across infrastructure, data, and AI while supporting customers through evaluation, planning, deployment, and production adoption.

Executive Engagement
Build trusted relationships with business and technology decision-makers while communicating business value, technical direction, and recommended next steps.
Opportunity Development
Identify new projects, qualify sales opportunities, create compelling business cases, and maintain momentum throughout the sales and deployment process.
Partner Coordination

Education and Experience Requirements
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or a related field, together with at least six years of experience in technology sales or account management. Microsoft may also consider candidates with equivalent professional experience.
Preferred candidates may have a master’s degree with at least eight years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience. Microsoft also lists at least six years of solution or services sales experience as a preferred qualification.

Microsoft lists a typical annual base-pay range of CAD $142,800 to CAD $214,900 for this Solution Area Specialists IC5 position across Canada. Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, qualifications, and Microsoft’s applicable compensation practices.
