ABOUT THE JOB
As a Cake Decorator at Costco, you’ll prepare, finish, and decorate cakes and related bakery items in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You’ll use icing and decorating techniques to create consistent, visually appealing products, support special orders, and help maintain clean and organized bakery work areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Decorate cakes and bakery items using icing, piping, and other finishing techniques according to Costco standards.
- Prepare and apply fillings, frostings, and decorations for sales and special orders.
- Write messages and finish cakes as requested for member orders.
- Use and maintain bakery tools and equipment safely (as required for the role).
- Follow production procedures, quality standards, and consistency guidelines.
- Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety practices throughout the work area.
- Label, wrap, and prepare products for display and stocking as needed.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service and assist with other bakery tasks when required.
