Costco is hiring an Optical Student to support optical department operations at its warehouse in Brampton, Ontario. This role assists with eyewear services, merchandise handling, and member support while working under the supervision of licensed optical professionals.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Optical Student at Costco, you will help members with eyewear selections, process orders, and support daily optical department activities. The position combines customer service with technical assistance, following established procedures, safety standards, and provincial regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members in selecting eyeglass frames and lens options.
- Process eyewear orders for pick-up and customer delivery.
- Receive and accurately process payments, returns, and exchanges.
- Enter and update orders in the system following department procedures.
- Fit and adjust eyeglasses when permitted and under appropriate supervision.
- Stock, organize, and maintain optical merchandise and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of the optical department and work areas.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service.
