Costco is hiring a Tire Centre Sales Assistant in Kelowna, BC to support members with tire purchases, appointments, and service invoices. This customer-facing role combines sales support, organization, and strong attention to detail in a busy Tire Centre environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Tire Centre Sales Assistant at Costco, you will help members choose the right tires, provide price quotes, and support the appointment and invoicing process for tire installation and repairs. You’ll stock, tag, and organize tires, manage special orders, and communicate with the Tire Centre team to keep operations running smoothly. In locations with propane services, once provincially certified, you may also assist with propane-related tasks while following all safety procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members with determining tire needs, answering questions, and recommending products using approved sales practices.
- Handle incoming phone calls, provide quotes, and respond to member inquiries in a timely manner.
- Support appointment scheduling and oversee appointment programs, including organizing and booking tire services.
- Tag, stock, and organize tires on the sales floor, including special orders and Canadian tire inventory for efficiency.
- Provide members with booked appointments for special orders at time of purchase when required.
- Create invoices for tire purchases and installation/repair services and prepare tires for scheduled appointments.
- Process sales transactions accurately, including payments, change, and required paperwork.
- Calculate and process warranty-related refund amounts for returned tires when applicable.
- Communicate with the Tire Centre Manager, buyers, and inventory auditors regarding special orders, quantities, delivery, and promotions.
- Keep tires in steel storage and on the sales floor organized according to the Tire Centre merchandising plan.
- Assist with directing member vehicles into service bays and parking areas after service.
- Support station/shop operations as required and maintain a clean sales area through sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
- In propane service locations, may assist with propane refills/purchases once certified, following all safety guidelines.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as needed.
