Costco is hiring a Stocker in Kelowna, BC to help maintain well-organized and fully stocked sales floors. This role supports merchandising standards, assists members, and ensures aisles remain clean and safe throughout the day.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Stocker at Costco, you will be responsible for replenishing merchandise, organizing displays, and maintaining aisle cleanliness to ensure a positive shopping experience. You’ll work closely with supervisors and forklift operators to move product from steel racks to sales floors, build and adjust displays, and ensure accurate product signage. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stock and straighten merchandise according to company merchandising standards and practices.
- Align products, collect stray items, and maintain appropriate stock levels in assigned aisles.
- Communicate with supervisors to coordinate product movement and stocking priorities.
- Cut open boxes for display and remove wrapping materials from pallets as needed.
- Move and position pallets using manual pallet jacks; stock items from pallets onto sales floors.
- Create and post computer-generated signage and verify accurate product pricing and marking.
- Assemble and adjust display models safely, including securing heavy equipment and preparing products for presentation.
- Pull loose cardboard and plastic wrap from floors; operate cardboard balers and trash compactors as required.
- Rewrap loose merchandise using shrink-wrap equipment when necessary.
- Assist members with locating products, loading large items into carts, and answering general product questions.
- Maintain clean aisles by removing debris and sweeping when required.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as necessary.
