Shift Supervisor – Tim Hortons, Toronto, ON

As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing team member activities, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

In this role, you will lead by example, ensuring that each shift runs smoothly and efficiently. Your focus will be on supervising staff, maintaining product quality, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.

You will also play a key role in training and developing team members, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with Tim Hortons’ standards.

Key Responsibilities for the Shift Supervisor

Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of restaurant operations, focusing on team leadership, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

• Supervise, coordinate, and delegate tasks to team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Train and mentor staff, providing guidance on food safety procedures and customer service standards.
• Act as Cash Manager, setting up cash registers at open and verifying cash at close.
• Perform walk-throughs to ensure the restaurant is ready for opening, closing, or peak periods.
• Address guest concerns and feedback professionally, striving to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both guests and team members.

Minimum Qualifications for the Shift Supervisor

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications to effectively fulfill the role and contribute to the restaurant’s success.

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in the food service industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic understanding of cash handling and financial procedures.
