Costco is hiring a Service Deli Clerk in Laval, QC. This role supports the Service Deli by preparing ready-to-eat foods, packaging and labeling products, and maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards in a busy warehouse environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Service Deli Clerk at Costco in Laval, you will help prepare and portion a variety of deli items such as salads, entrées, sandwiches, and other prepared foods. You’ll assemble products for sale, package and label items, restock display cases, and keep work areas clean and compliant with health and safety requirements. This position is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring attention to quality, safe food handling, and teamwork. For Quebec locations, candidates may need to communicate in French (oral and written).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, assemble, and portion service deli items following department recipes and production procedures.
- Package, weigh, label, and stock deli products and maintain attractive displays.
- Operate department equipment and tools safely (e.g., ovens and packaging equipment as required).
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, including temperature checks and cleanliness routines.
- Restock ingredients, supplies, and packaging materials to support daily production.
- Perform clean-up duties throughout the shift and follow safety and security procedures.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service when needed.
- Assist other warehouse areas when necessary.
