Costco is hiring a Service Deli Clerk in Kelowna, BC to prepare and package fresh deli foods such as meals, salads, party trays, rotisserie items, and take-and-bake products. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and focused on food safety, quality, and member service.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Service Deli Clerk at Costco, you will help produce a variety of ready-to-serve and ready-to-cook deli items while following Costco production procedures and food safety standards. You’ll prep ingredients, cook and assemble items like rotisserie chicken and ribs, portion and label products, and maintain clean equipment and work areas. The role also involves stocking and rotating display cases, completing production and temperature records, and supporting consistent, high-quality deli operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, assemble, package, and label deli meals, entrées, salads, party trays, and take-and-bake products.
- Slice vegetables and prep ingredients for salads, entrées, and garnishes according to department procedures.
- Prepare and cook rotisserie chicken, ribs, and related deli items; mix ingredients, assemble products, and bake items using commercial ovens.
- Wrap, seal, weigh, and label products using wrapping equipment and ensure accurate labeling and presentation.
- Stock and rotate deli display cases and maintain proper product freshness, pull dates, and temperature controls.
- Follow Costco formulas, diagrams, and production standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Restock ingredients and supplies in the prep area to support daily production needs.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and clean equipment by disassembling, washing, sanitizing, and reassembling parts as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of the deli area by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and sanitizing surfaces; empty trash and operate balers/compactors when required.
- Complete production documentation, including time/temperature logs, daily production forms, and sanitation checklists.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to Costco members.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as needed.
