Pharmacist – Costco Wholesale, Vancouver, BC

Costco Wholesale is looking for a licensed Pharmacist to join our team at the Vancouver warehouse located at 605 Expo Blvd. This full-time role is perfect for professionals who are passionate about patient care and medication safety.

In this position, you’ll practice to the full scope of pharmacy regulations, performing medication reviews, administering injections, and providing exceptional service to members.

About the Job

This role allows you to apply your clinical knowledge while supporting Costco’s high standards of pharmacy operations and patient care. You’ll collaborate with healthcare professionals, assist members, and manage various pharmacy tasks.

The Pharmacist also helps maintain patient safety through proper medication dispensing, documentation, and oversight.

Key Responsibilities for the Pharmacist

Your daily duties will focus on patient care, clinical services, and ensuring accuracy in all pharmacy operations.

• Dispense prescription medications with accuracy and apply proper auxiliary labels.
• Check drug interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of prescriptions.
• Communicate with physicians to verify prescriptions or obtain clarifications.
• Provide education and consultation to patients on their medications and proper use.
• Conduct medication reviews, adapt or modify prescriptions, and administer injections as permitted.
• Participate in health and wellness clinics and medication therapy management.
• Oversee pharmacy interns and students, ensuring smooth operations.

Minimum Qualifications for the Meat Assistant

Candidates must meet educational and licensing requirements and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and safety.

• Education/Training: Bachelor of Science or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
• Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in British Columbia.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
• Skills: Strong computer, math, patient care, and member service skills.

Preferred Qualifications for the Meat Assistant

Ideal candidates will bring additional knowledge or skills that support pharmacy operations and patient care.

• Ability to conduct health clinics and medication reviews.
