ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacist at Costco, you’ll provide professional pharmacy services including prescription dispensing, patient counselling, and collaboration with healthcare providers when needed. You’ll help ensure safe medication use, support pharmacy operations, and maintain compliance with applicable laws, standards, and internal procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dispense prescription medications and provide patient counselling in line with professional standards.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, allergies, interactions, contraindications, and dosing.
- Work with physicians and healthcare providers when required to clarify therapy or resolve concerns.
- Provide information to patients on proper medication use and promote safe medication practices.
- Support pharmacy operations, documentation, and quality procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy requirements.
- Follow all applicable provincial regulations and Costco pharmacy policies.
- Support training and teamwork within the pharmacy environment as needed.
