Costco is hiring a licensed Optician / Contact Lens Practitioner to join its Optical department in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This role focuses on assisting members with eyewear and contact lenses while delivering accurate, professional, and customer-focused optical services.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Optician / Contact Lens Practitioner, you will support members with selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on prescriptions and individual needs. You will process optical orders, maintain accurate records, and ensure all services comply with professional standards, provincial regulations, and company procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members with selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and contact lenses.
- Interpret prescriptions and ensure accurate fitting and dispensing of eyewear.
- Process optical orders, payments, and documentation using computer systems.
- Measure, adjust, and verify eyewear for proper fit and comfort.
- Maintain inventory, merchandising, and cleanliness within the optical department.
- Follow privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
