ABOUT THE JOB
As a Meat Assistant at Costco, you’ll help maintain the meat department by preparing products for display, operating wrapping equipment, and assisting with stocking and rotation. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a refrigerated environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap, label, and package meat products using approved equipment and procedures.
- Stock display cases and rotate products to maintain freshness and quality.
- Operate and clean department equipment safely, including wrapping machines and related tools.
- Monitor product temperatures and follow sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Assist with grinding and other basic department tasks as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including counters and display cases.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to members.
- Support other warehouse areas as needed.
