ABOUT THE JOB
The Meat Assistant helps ensure the department operates efficiently by handling meat products, operating wrapping equipment, and assisting with daily production tasks. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to sanitation standards, and the ability to work in a refrigerated environment while supporting overall department operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and package meat products using department equipment and procedures.
- Operate wrapping machines and apply accurate labels to finished products.
- Stock display cases and ensure proper product rotation.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature control standards.
- Assist with grinding and basic production tasks as required.
- Provide courteous service to members and support overall department needs.
