ABOUT THE JOB
The Meat Assistant position focuses on wrapping and labeling meat products, stocking displays, and operating department equipment. You will help ensure products are fresh, accurately priced, and presented according to company guidelines, while keeping the work area clean and organized.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap and label meat products using approved wrapping machines.
- Inspect and sanitize equipment before and during production.
- Stock display cases and rotate products to ensure freshness.
- Apply correct pricing labels and product information.
- Operate meat department equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain proper temperatures and follow food safety standards.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment throughout the day.
- Handle products carefully to maintain quality and consistency.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to members.
- Assist with additional meat department or warehouse tasks as needed.
