ABOUT THE JOB
As a Maintenance Assistant at Costco in Laval, you will perform general cleaning, preventative maintenance, and minor repair tasks throughout the warehouse. You’ll help maintain floors, equipment, and facilities according to company safety and operational standards. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting overall warehouse operations. For Quebec locations, candidates may need to communicate in French (oral and written).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine cleaning of floors, restrooms, breakrooms, and work areas.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as floor scrubbers, trash compactors, and cleaning tools.
- Conduct minor repairs and assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed.
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper waste disposal procedures are followed.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including snow and debris removal when required.
- Restock cleaning supplies and maintain maintenance inventory.
- Follow safety and security procedures at all times.
- Support other warehouse areas when necessary.
