ABOUT THE JOB
As a Maintenance Assistant at Costco, you’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing routine cleaning and general upkeep across the facility. You may operate cleaning equipment, handle waste removal, restock supplies, and support basic maintenance tasks as directed. This position requires attention to detail, consistency, and a strong focus on safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine cleaning and janitorial tasks throughout the warehouse (floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas).
- Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely (as required), including floor-cleaning machines.
- Empty trash and recycling, and maintain waste areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Restock cleaning supplies and maintain inventory of janitorial materials as needed.
- Follow sanitation standards and safety procedures, including proper handling of cleaning products.
- Respond to spills and urgent clean-up needs promptly.
- Support basic facility upkeep tasks and assist other departments when required.
