Delivery Driver – Amazon, Ottawa, ON

Amazon is looking for reliable and customer-focused Delivery Drivers to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently, take pride in punctuality and service, and are passionate about delivering packages with care and efficiency.

As a Delivery Driver, you’ll be responsible for transporting Amazon packages from delivery stations directly to customers’ doors, playing a vital role in ensuring a high-quality delivery experience.

About the Job

As part of Amazon’s last-mile delivery network, you will be assigned a pre-loaded Amazon van, a handheld delivery device, and a route designed for efficiency. You’ll be expected to deliver packages safely, quickly, and with a smile, ensuring each customer receives their order in perfect condition.

This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. You’ll also be trained on delivery best practices and receive ongoing support from Amazon’s operations team.

Key Responsibilities for the Delivery Driver

Your workday will be structured around ensuring every package is delivered accurately and on time. Responsibilities include:

• Safely operating a delivery van to deliver Amazon packages.
• Following GPS navigation and pre-set routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Loading and unloading packages in accordance with safety and handling procedures.
• Using handheld technology to scan, track, and confirm package deliveries.
• Interacting professionally with customers and resolving issues when needed.
• Maintaining cleanliness and care of the vehicle, and following all driving regulations.

Minimum Qualifications for the Delivery Driver

Candidates should meet the following minimum criteria to be considered for the position:

• Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk during shifts of up to 10 hours.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic proficiency with smartphones and GPS navigation systems.

Preferred Qualifications for the Delivery Driver

Though not required, the following experience and skills are a plus:

• Previous delivery or driving experience.
• Familiarity with Ottawa’s local roads and neighborhoods.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle unexpected route changes.
