Bakery Wrapper – Costco Wholesale, Ottawa, ON

Costco Wholesale is hiring a Bakery Wrapper at our Ottawa location, 4315 Strandherd Drive. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with high-quality bakery products in a fast-paced environment while ensuring outstanding member service.

As a Bakery Wrapper, you’ll be responsible for garnishing, wrapping, labeling, and stocking bakery items while maintaining Costco’s strict quality and food safety standards.

About the Job

This role plays a key part in the bakery’s operations, ensuring that products are properly prepared and presented for members. You’ll handle baked goods with care, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with all health regulations.

Your attention to detail helps maintain product freshness and quality while delivering great service.

Key Responsibilities for the Bakery Wrapper

As a Bakery Wrapper, your daily tasks will involve preparing and packaging bakery products, monitoring displays, and ensuring a clean work environment.

• Garnish baked goods, drizzle icing, and spray glaze according to Costco procedures.
• Wrap and package products by hand or using the wrapping machine.
• Weigh and label bakery items, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Cull defective products, maintaining high standards for quality.
• Restock and rotate inventory, monitor pull dates, and ensure freshness.
• Keep wrapping and sales areas clean, following safety protocols.
• Provide excellent member service, answering questions and directing members as needed.
• Assist with other bakery duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications for the Bakery Wrapper

Applicants should meet basic educational and certification requirements to be considered for this role.

• Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required on the first day.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
