AWS Solutions Architect, Commercial Sector – Amazon – Toronto, ON

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a dynamic AWS Solutions Architect to join our Commercial Sector team. As a Solutions Architect, you’ll partner with customers to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures, driving the adoption of AWS services.

Your role will be pivotal in helping organizations understand best practices for cloud-based solutions, and you’ll work closely with sales teams to support revenue growth and customer success.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build deep relationships with customers, becoming their trusted advisor for critical workloads that support their digital transformation journey. You’ll participate in deep architectural discussions, educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and act as a liaison between customers and AWS engineering teams to address their needs. Key Responsibilities

• Build Deep Relationships: Become a trusted advisor to customers for their critical workloads and digital transformation.
• Support Revenue Growth: Partner with sales teams to drive adoption and migration of applications to the AWS platform.
• Educate Customers: Lead architectural discussions and ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Customer Advocacy: Act as a liaison between customers and AWS teams to address technical needs and challenges.
• Technical Leadership: Contribute to internal and customer-facing publications, such as white-papers and blogs.
• Travel: Be prepared to travel within the city or province and occasionally out of province to meet customers.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a technical solutions architect role.
• 1-2+ years of exposure to public cloud environments.
• Experience interfacing directly with clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS SA Associate, AWS SA Professional).
• Experience in pre-sales or contributing to requests for proposals.
• Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
