Area Manager II – Amazon – Brampton, ON

Amazon’s Worldwide Operations network delivers millions of packages to customers daily. As an Area Manager II, you’ll lead a team of hourly workers to ensure safety, quality, and performance are maintained at the highest levels.

You will play a key role in meeting customer expectations by ensuring orders are delivered accurately and on time. This role provides opportunities for professional growth as you collaborate with various support teams, including Safety, Engineering, and Human Resources, to achieve business objectives.

The Operations workflow includes First Mile, where products are prepared; Middle Mile, where orders are transported; and Last Mile, where products reach the customer’s door. This position involves physical activity, including lifting, walking, and working in environments with varying noise levels and temperatures.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery commitments.
• Collaborate with teams like Safety, Engineering, and HR to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and work in environments with variable noise and temperature levels.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours and climb stairs as required.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in employee and performance management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.

Working Conditions

This role is based in Brampton, ON, within Amazon’s Fulfillment Center. It requires flexibility to work various shifts and in environments that may include loud noises and fluctuating temperatures. The role is physically demanding and involves regular lifting and walking.
